NORTHERN VIRGINIA FLUTE CIRCLE

Welcome to the NORTHERN VIRGINIA FLUTE CIRCLE.

Here, offers a multigenerational experience where players of all levels can harmonize with the Native American Flute. This initiative aims to unite people through music, fostering inclusivity and understanding of the instrument's rich history dating back to the Indigenous Native Americans.

WHAT DO WE DO AT A FLUTE CIRCLE?

We play our flutes!

Flute enthusiasts are invited to learn how to play on the instrument and do fun activities with it. These can include learning the basics of playing the flute, improvising melodies, duets, call-and-response playing, sharing stories related to the flute, and much more.

GOAL

To provide individuals of all backgrounds a chance to express themselves through music and uplift their spirits.

Flute music offers numerous benefits, including improved respiratory health, stress relief, and mental well-being, while also fostering discipline, teamwork, and creativity.

ALL ARE INVITED

The circle welcomes individuals from all walks of life to participate, embracing various musical traditions and fostering greater diversity and inclusion within the community.

We also welcome all other acoustic instruments you may have.

DRUMS, RATTLES, GUITARS, KEYBOARDS, ETC.

No musical background is necessary to learn how to play the Native American Flute. The instrument itself is very easy to play and you will be able to start mastering it in a short period of time.
